About The Mixolydians
- The Mixolydians
- Middletown, Connecticut, United States
- Formed in Fall 2006, The Mixolydians is a new fully mixed vocal ensemble formed with the purpose of performing, proliferating and cultivating an interest in the art of chamber works written for a small vocal ensemble. Its repertoire will range from early renaissance madrigals to lesser known works written in our century, not limiting itself to works from any one continent or genre. The Mixolydians also aims to instate a high standard of the choral art, and to explore new sonic spaces for musical and/or theatrical expression in a continuing search to re-examine the choral idioms of our time.

I was very impressed by the support given your concert by the Wesleyan student community. - Ron Williams: I just wanted to follow-up with you and thank you all so very very very much for performing at the Carnivale! We heard from at least 25-30+ people that you guys were absolutely fantastic! In particular, one person who caught your three-song set in the Meeting House said that you all were "truly unbelievable" and that your voices were "like those of angels", and one woman said that her little girl exclaimed, "Mommy, I want to sing just like them when I grow up!"

Hy, hola, escribo en español porque no hablo muy bien inglés. Soy francés y canto en un grupo de 12 cantantes. Montamos piezas parecidas a las que se pueden escuchar en su blog. Quiero felicitarles por su blog muy interesante que da ganas de conocerlos.
